I found that your fuse-2.6.3-1 rpm does not work on RHEL4.4, which uses kernel 2.6.9. This is a pity, because fuse supports kernels back to 2.6.9. Therefore I modified the fuse.spec file to build the kernel module where required. I also had to incorporate a patch found on the fuse mailing list to allow it to build against kernel 2.6.9 (there was a bug in fuse).
